Freshwater Fishing License, Fees And Exemptions

| All persons freshwater fishing in Florida must possess a valid freshwater fishing license, excluding those entitled to the following exemptions:
|

Any individual under 16 years of age.
 :
Florida residents 65 years of age or older that can show proof of age and residency... such as provided by a Florida Driver License or voter registration card.
 :
Individuals fishing with live or natural bait, using poles or hand lines that are not equipped with reel or other line retrieval mechanism, such as a cane pole, for noncommercial purposes
Note: This exemption does not apply in Fish Management Areas.
 :
Florida residents who are disabled who have been issued a special permit.
 :
Military personnel who are residents of Florida and are home on leave for a period of 30 days or less and have valid orders in their possession.
