Freshwater Fishing License, Fees And Exemptions
All persons freshwater fishing in Florida must possess a valid freshwater fishing license, excluding those entitled to the following exemptions:
Any individual under 16 years of age.
 :
Florida residents 65 years of age or older that can show proof of age and residency... such as provided by a Florida Driver License or voter registration card.
 :
Individuals fishing with live or natural bait, using poles or hand lines that are not equipped with reel or other line retrieval mechanism, such as a cane pole, for noncommercial purposes Note: This exemption does not apply in Fish Management Areas.
 :
Florida residents who are disabled who have been issued a special permit.
 :
Military personnel who are residents of Florida and are home on leave for a period of 30 days or less and have valid orders in their possession.
Freshwater fishing licenses may be purchased from the Tax Collector's Ft. Pierce Office and the Port St. Lucie Office, types and cost as follows:

These licenses may also be purchased from one of our many subagent's throughout St. Lucie County. When purchasing these licenses from a subagent, add an additional 50¢ to the cost of the license. Licenses may be purchased directly over the telephone from the Florida Fish And Wildlife Conservation Commission.
