Lost Registrations And Duplicate Titles

| If your tag and/or decal has been lost or stolen, you must contact your
local law enforcement agency to report the loss or theft prior to making
application for a replacement.

Lost Registrations
If you have lost your vehicle registration, a duplicate may be issued.

| The license plate number, decal number or
vehicle identification number is required for the issuance. Duplicate
registrations are issued at the Tax Collector's
and the

| The fee for replacement is $3.00.
|
Duplicate Titles
The registered owner or lien holder on record for a vehicle may apply
for a duplicate title. An application must be completed in detail and
can be submitted at the Tax Collector's
or the

| The fee for a duplicate vehicle or mobile home title is $29.75; and,
|
| The fee for a duplicate vessel title is $6.50; and,
|
| Fast title (Ft. Pierce Office or Port St. Lucie Office) additional $7.00.

| If there is an outstanding lien, only the lien holder can apply for a
duplicate title. If the lien has been satisfied, a lien satisfaction form
should be presented.

| If your title was from another state, you must apply for the duplicate
title through the motor vehicle division of that state.
