Your Service, Your Choice - By Appointment or By Walk-in

We now offer service TO ST. LUCIE COUNTY RESIDENTS by appointment each morning (tax payments do not require an appointment for service) and we accept walk-in customers each afternoon. Appointments and walk-in hours are reserved for St. Lucie County residents (those establishing residency in St. Lucie County are considered a resident).

Our office operates by appointment only each day from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at all three office locations. Please review the guidelines below before scheduling your appointment.

We offer walk-in hours at each of our three office locations on a first come, first serve basis each afternoon from 2:30 p.m. until close. (*Appointments are recommended to avoid waiting.*)

Before You Make an Appointment: Important Requirements for In-Person Service

We are ONLY SERVICING St. Lucie County residents. Appointments made for anyone residing in a county other than St. Lucie will not be honored. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation.

Each person coming in for service needs an appointment. If you plan on coming in with your spouse or family member, please be sure to make an appointment for each person requiring service. (Ex: a husband and wife who have just moved to St. Lucie County and need to update their driver licenses will BOTH need to make an appointment. There are multiple time slots available, so it is possible to make two appointments for the same date/time.)

Bring only who you need to. Please plan to arrive for your appointment alone whenever possible. We do make exceptions for parents with children, those accompanying drivers for road tests, caretakers of elderly clients, translators for clients who speak languages other than English. (*Note: If you require a language interpreter for service, it is your responsibility to bring one with you for your appointment. We do not provide this service.*) The goal in this requirement is to help lessen the unneeded traffic in our lobbies in order to maintain social distancing.

Practice Social Distancing. Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between yourself and other people.

Additional Safety Measures: We have installed plexiglass shields on our counters, and common areas are being disinfected throughout the day. As an extra precaution, customers are encouraged to wash their hands and/or use hand sanitizer before and after visiting our office.

Exemptions and Property Value Reassessments: If you are seeking an exemption for your property or a reassessment of your property value, please contact the St. Lucie County Property Appraiser's Office at 772-462-1000.

Office Hours: We are currently serving our neighbors weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., with driver license transactions ending at 4:30 p.m. and testing ending at 3:30 p.m. For a list of our holiday closures, click here.

Information for Out-of-County Residents: Again, we are only servicing St. Lucie County residents at this time. If you reside in another county, please visit your local tax collector for service. Out-of-county residents who make an appointment will not receive service at our office.
