Up until now, road tests have only been available at the Fort Pierce (2300 Virginia Avenue) and Tradition (10264 SW Village Parkway) locations, but effective Tuesday, May 31, 2022 road tests will be offered at all three offices.

Tests are conducted by appointment only. Appointments can be made online at https://www.tcslc.com/241/Make-an-Appointment. Choose the preferred office from the dropdown, then choose “Driving Test Only” under the booking queue. Appointments are reserved for St. Lucie County residents (those establishing residency in St. Lucie County are considered a resident).

Additionally, the original road test procedure that was used prior to the COVID pandemic is being put back into place at Fort Pierce and Tradition effective Monday, May 16. Testers will drive their own car with a tax collector employee accompanying them in the passenger seat conducting the test. Masks will be required for both the driver and SLC Tax Collector staff during the portion of the road test that occurs within the car.
